Memory - Lest we forget is the tale of a person whose life turned upside down as war engulfs their homeland. They recount occupation, persecution, and exile. Chronologically or not, these are the three realities civilians in war-torn countries are forced to endure. Territorial wars, religious wars, political wars, cyberwars… So many names, yet horror and violence dwell eternally in the very meaning of the word. This story is not just one person' story; it is everyone's story. Through her testimony, told in the language of international communication, my character becomes the voice of the suffering borne by civilians across the world. Different countries, different eras, languages, cultures — yet always the same story.
